support shawn brown
On August 27, 2019, Shawn collapsed at his home and was rushed to the hospital. It was determined that he had experienced a life threatening stroke. I am pleased to announce he is conscious and alert, however he is currently unable to speak. As a result of this, he and his family are facing a long road to recovery. We ask that you continue to pray for a speedy and full recovery so that he can return to the field doing what he loves.
Shawn and his wife are wonderful hardworking individuals but have experienced some financial difficulties over the past few years. Shawn’s stroke has now added more hardship on the family and his condition has rendered him unable to care for the monetary responsibilities to support him and his family.
Shawn has been a member of Marietta Umpires since 2004. He has served us well as an umpire, leader, trainer and friend. We are asking you to come together and support our friend and colleague during his time of need. His family will benefit greatly. Your help will remove the stress of medical bills, which will allow them to focus on the medical care Shawn deserves.
